Congratulations to Derek Birdsall on winning a President’s Award at last night’s D&AD 50th anniversary celebrations. Birdsall is one of my design heroes, working in a strong typographic tradition that pays as much attention to the inside of the book as to the outside. Here are some of Derek’s greatest hits.
